Just hangin.

So. Today was nice. And so was yesterday. Yesterday night a bunch of people came over and we watched lots of movies and ate pizza and other assortments of fun snacks. We watched Half Nelson, which I recommend to EVERYBODY. I've seen it three times, and it's incredible, not to mention you get to see Ryan Gosling in his nut huggers. Yes, I just said nut huggers. Hmm. What else did we watch. The second Bridgit Jones. That was nice. And then we watched Night at the Roxbury. Incredible, really. Great pointless movie. So yeah, that was yesterday.

Today I went over to Courtney's with Taylor in the morning, and just got home. We played Rock Band and Halo 3 on Xbox Live all day. Yes, all day. ALL day. And that stupid game, The orange box. Not kidding. Worst game ever created. It's impossible to get past level 18. And it's frustrating.

But anyways, I learned that I'm pretty good at playing every instrument known to man. Yes. And apparently, a new game has been invented in my honor. It's called "Let's see who can get a picture of Sasha's face." Yeah, It's not my favorite either.

Tomorrow I've got lots of places to go, and people to see. Gotta go see my dad, brother, grandparents, exchange gifts, then around 8 im heading over to Maureen's with a huge group and we're going to celebrate New Year's. Who will be my New Year's Kiss? Hmm. I'll let you know in 2008.

Sigh.

So the last couple of days have been a blur. I've been sick, which really sucks. Oh well. I just remember that yesterday I went over to kellyo's place and we watched some movies, and played some more guitar hero. yeah. two night in a row [I think]. Nothing really exciting is happening. Today a couple of people are probably just gonna come over here and we'll have a movie night. Sounds good.

Before I sign off [that sounded so lame], I just want to say something to everyone reading this.

Respect. You tell other people to respect others, but you don't do it yourself. That really pisses me off. People are not inanimate objects that have no feelings. They get offended when you say something rude, they smile when complimented. Stating your opinion is fine, but make sure you share it in a respectful manner. There is no need for name-calling, or yelling. And there is no need to lie. When you're invited somewhere, and already have plans, then say so. When you lie, admit it and apologize. People will forgive and forget. But just remember to respect everyone and everything in the process.

Dude. that was a long day.

Yeah. So me and Kellyo drove to woodfield mall. Which is like an hour away. It was pretty pointless too. Like I said, I hate malls.

Anyways, so then after a couple of hours of pointless walking around and window shopping, we headed over to hulihans [i have no idea if thats how you spell it], and grabbed some supper. haha. yes, supper. Best southwest chicken wrap. And the staff, was greattttt. Very friendly, if you know what I mean. Afterwards, we went back to kellyo's and played some guitar hero, and then katie came over to my place. What a fun day.

Except now I'm extremely exhausted for some reason.

Goodnight.

Merry Christmas!

Okay, I love Christmas. I admit it.

I visited my grandparents yesterday, and my brothers. What did I end up doing? I ended up baking pies, and hvorost [if you don't know what that is, well, I'll have a picture later]. I also went to a bakery to get some nice bread, and on the way stopped by the lake. Most inceredible view of my life. That's pretty much the only nice thing about living on the North Shore [other than the city]. The lake is a second away from your house. I wish I had my camera. Anyways, later on in the day, my grandma and I sat down and talked about the meaning of Christmas, and baked some more. It really was nice. So since today is Christmas, I wanted to wish everyone reading this a Merry Christmas [or happy holidays], and hope you get everything you asked for. But if you didn't, don't yell and complain, because it's probably for the best.

Today will probably consist of phone calls to friends and family. And chinese food with the Nulmans later on tonight.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

Well. Tomorrow is finally Christmas. Shouldn't I be more excited?

Yeah, anyways, today's going to be pretty chill. I'm probably just going to go visit my grandma and grandpa, and maybe my dad, if he's available. What a fun day.

You know, for a town that has an only 2% catholic population, I don't have one jewish friend. I'm not kidding. I was pondering this thought all throughout the weekend, going through a list of my friends in my head, naming whether they were jewish or catholic. Nope. I ended up with one who's half and half, and then i ended up with another who's jewish, but celebrates christmas. Hmmm.

Wait no! I found a jewish friend! She even speaks hebrew! No two! Both of them do!

What a joyous day!

Anyways, I thought I would share some music with all of you today. My best friend Jesse happens to be an amazing musician, and sometimes he gets bored and picks up his guitar, or bass, or keyboard, or drums, or any other instrument for that matter, and just writes a song and records it in his own home. He's incredibly talented, and his music is really nice for when you just need to chill out or are having a bad day. Check it out. The first link is his myspace, which has a couple of his own songs, and the second is a link to some songs that he remixed, and also the ones he wrote. Check it out, and maybe let him know what you think. It would mean a lot to both of us.

Experiment Day Myspace

More of his songs

Thanks!

I hate malls.

Especially the weekend before Christmas.

That was insane. It took me thirty minutes to just pull into the parking lot! And I don't want to talk about how long it took me to get across the street to Target. I didn't even get anything for anybody. Well, I got myself some more chapstick [I have a thing with chapstick].

Anyways, after shopping for 5 hours, and getting nothing, I ended up going to Michaela's with some people, and we ended up just hanging out eating pizza. After a while she brought out the good old game Apples to Apples. That brought back memories. So now that everyone is home from college for break, things are exciting. I'm excited to see everyone [except for Chris, who I see everyday]. Apparently Grumbeys planned some sort of scavenger hunt with Devendorf while everyone is in town. I'm sure that's gonna be a blast.

Now I'm probably going downtown today, gonna look at the macy's window set up, and then go to Chinatown and grab some dinner with people. That will be fun.

This is what you do the weekend before Christmas.

You eat.

Which is exactly what I did yesterday night. A bunch of us got together over at reen's place and had over 50 boxes of pizza with some brownies and cookies and other assortments of holiday favorites. Though it really was a pain having to help reen around all day. She fell on a screw and tore her knee open and had to get stitches. I have no idea how she happened to do it.

Poe, Waltz, Katz, and Danny came over and we watched Fight Club. Again. I swear, I watch that movie at least once a month. I'm pretty sure I know every single word. Though it was pretty funny watching everyone who hasn't seen the movie continually ask me questions, and watching Katie cover her eyes the entire time [she's a strong christian, and doesn't believe in fighting or swearing].

Overall it was nice. I was planning on going to Wisconsin this weekend with people, but since the weather isn't turning out how we all wanted it to, we canceled.

Instead, I'm going to the greatest store ever created to buy Christmas presents.

Target.

Oh, and I guess I'll stop by the mall and get some things there. If I'm in the mood.

Oh. Someone sent me this video, and I just thought it was too cute to not share with everyone.

Taylor's boyfriend's band got signed.

to universal. I think. I'm extremely excited for them.

Have a nice day.

MMBOP = worst song ever created.

Okay. It was fine at first, really. Catchy song actually.

After 45 minutes of it though, the words seem to change from "MMBOP" to "KILLMEKILLME"

Yeah. Not kidding. Stop the Bop is not a good way to make money. Not to mention the fact that we went from 123,000 dollars raised last year, to about 60,000 this year. Gee. I guess Evan's Life Foundation didn't really seem to catch anyone's eye. Maybe we'll think of something better next year.

On a good note...wait, there was none.

If I hear one more child cry because they didn't get to go first on the freaking choo choo train, I'm going to die.

What a sucky day.

What's a fun activity for 2-5 year olds...

that has to do with Polar babies? Yes, polar babies. That's exactly what my schedule sheet says. And it has to be a large motor game. Come on! What am I supposed to make the kids do? Clap their hands like seals? Are seals polar babies? Oh well. This week I'm having them make their own aliens! How fun! Next week it's reading Cinderella aloud.
How I love children.

Anyways, planning a trip to New York with two friends is not as easy as it seems. Honestly. I have never been to New York, and they expect me to know where to stay, where to eat, where to shop, and what to do. Come on, give me a break! Life can be so stressful sometimes.

And, not to mention the one movie I was extremely excited to see [I Am Legend], turned out to be fantastically terrible. Don't get me wrong, Will Smith is the MAN. But the story, yeah, that sucked.

Oh well. Only one week till Christmas, and then one week after that till new years.

Hang in there.

AP Environmental Science

boo. I was extremely excited to take this course.

but it ends up having the suckiest teacher. I mean come on! If you're going to teach an AP class, you have to at least be somewhat smart!

Your stupid prairie building is not going to make people realize that they need to be kinder to the enviornment, Mr. All I Like To Talk About Is Fishing, When I Should Be Talking About The World Around Us. And by the world around us, I don't mean politics Mr. AILTTAIFWISBTATWAU. I get that enough from my father.

Rules my father has taught me about politics:

1. Never say the word dumb, stupid, or idiot when talking about politics. Whether it be talking about a person, or an action. Don't do it. You will be considered a brainless idiot who knows nothing.

2. Don't trust commercials. They lie.

3. The world is not ready. No, really. We're not.

I'm sure there were many more, but I gave up on listening when he went into detail about Obama's backup. Yes, backup.

Dissecting the Fetal Pig. Yes, I capitalized it.

My goodness. So, yesterday we dissected a pig. Well...piglet. Wonderful. Me and Wes [ET] had an argument on what we would name him. It was between Frankie the fetus, and Rodrigo. We chose Rodrigo the fetus. Of course, I had to do everything, including separating the intestines. wonderful.

Okay, bus drivers are really amazing.

Yeah, so. Friday night was the night a couple of friends and I traveled to Milwaukee. Saw the jonas brothers perform. That was great. Front row. Everything was fine until I fainted. Gee, how embarrassing. Oh well, it was still great. I met a lot of nice security guards, who could keep a conversation going! After the show, we went outside only to see three buses lined up, with all three bus drivers sitting inside. I felt bad considering that had to stay outside the whole time. So while every single other girl was standing outside the bands bus, i decided to go over to the crew bus and chat with the driver. Now since my good friend Bert was the security guard outside that bus, he didn't really mind, so it was all good. I started entertaining and dancing for the driver [Ashlee Simpson ho down saturday night live style], and that gave him a good laugh. Eventually he told me to come to the window and we had a nice chat about him being excited for his show in Chicago. I was planning on bringing him some hot chocolate, but that didn't work out. Oh well, nice guy! But I'm pretty sure one of the crew members was pretty freaked out by my thumbs up signal to the driver. Anyways, we then stayed across the street from the rave at the ambassador and went to the rock bottom brewery downtown milwaukee. Nice meal, really.

Back to school tomorrow. Lucky me.

Why would you make a sledding hill right next to a marsh?

First off, let me explain for those of you who don't know what a marsh is.

It's like a mini river. In the middle of a suburb. In swamp form.

Alright, now that that's cleared up. So I went sledding today. Since it was a snow day.

Really, 10 straight years without a snow day in district 113, and two years in a row we now have one?
Oh boy, how exciting! So even though I was awoken by about 50 calls from friends all excited about the snow outside [first real snowfall.] I was pretty pissed to find that I could no longer sleep and was forced out of bed at 6. So then we all went to Shelby's and went to the hill over by her house all bundled up because it was freezing, and and the end of the hill we noticed a marsh. But we didn't think anything of it considering the fact that we thought we could stop ourselves right before we hit the water. Gosh, stupid idea. Let's just say i have thorns in my butt. Gross. Anyways, we then watched a bootlegged version of This Christmas. Ha, never again. Are you kidding me? Heads popping up randomly? Yeah, I would rather wait till blockbuster. Anyways, back to school tomorrow, and concert on Friday [leaving school early, and waiting outside in the cold for 5 hours. YAY!] yeah.
